Subject: Air Travel
Fellow inventors,
The Professional Inventors Alliance was originally founded
to exchange information concerning which companies are reputable
and which are not. It has evolved to help members find
appropriate counsel, and a general exchange of information.
We all have benefited from the search for the services at the
best prices. That was especially true of long distance
telephone communications costs.
Another significant cost for all inventors is air travel. Both licensing and enforcement of our intellectual property rights generally require extensive travel.
I have received many negative comments from other inventors in regards to Northwest Air. I had not used Northwest personally for near a decade because of poor service but the Invention Convention in Pasadena in 1996 just did not have any reasonable alternative. So I booked the flight and everything went well.
But after that flight
Northwest has consistently caused me grief and aggravation on
each successive flight. Because of all the complaints from
other parties, and especially because of my personal experiences,
I believe that Northwest should be your carrier of last
resort. In my opinion,
Northwest stands out as the (North) Worst airline of the
industry.

===============================
Since sending the advisory I used Northwest to go to the
MIT-Lemelson awards in Washington, DC - last April (98). It
was the last time, just to wipe out the frequent flier
miles. Big mistake. Northwest broke the active matrix
screen on my $4000 notebook computer, and they have been
stonewalling me for seven months, denying liability.
All of you know how much I love to give deserving companies proper media exposure. Do any of you have a Northwest story you would like to see on the web? I have already created a northworstair directory.
