I am completing my final semester in a journalism masters program at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT. My final project in the computer assisted reporting class is on airline delays between push back to wheels up. Guess what event influenced my decision to choose this topic. Incidence such as this have happened to my wife on several occasions in the past as she is a frequent Northworst flyer. My difficulty is quantifying delays on the ground (prior to take off) with statistical data. I wondered if you might be aware of whether or not this data exists and if so where it might be obtained. I will be doing my internship with The Hartford Courant and suspect the paper will be printed. I would be more than happy to forward you a copy of the final product. Thanks in advance for whatever help you might give me.
